Orlando Go Tournament, May 5th-6th, 2007
The participation of 10 GO players from Sarasota Go Club at the 2007 Orlando GO Tournament was a great success. Not only that we got the prize for bringing the highest number of GO players at the tournament, but we won the first place in the Dan Division and the tournament and the first 2 places in the kyu Division. Everybody had good results, maintaining the current rank or being promoted.

Winner's Report: Dan Micsa 4d and Gelu Ciuica 3d (both with perfect 3-0 records) both formerly of Romania, "now members of the new family of go players in Florida." CORRECTION: While Gelu Ciuica had a perfect 3-0 score in the recent Sarasota Go Tournament (Micsa & Ciuica Top Sarasota Tourney 11/13 EJ), Dan Micsa had a 2-2 score, not 3-0 as we reported. Because Micsa played the strongest players in the tournament with white without komi, he shared top honors with Ciuica. We apologize for the error.
