They formed in 2001 and have been building a fan base eversince. They have received a lot of press on Texas TVshows and local magazine covers. Their first tour was in the summer of 2004 and in January of 2005, they recorded their first demo which is being shopped by Robert Reynolds in England with Boz Boorer (guitar player for Morrissey). Nina?s voice has been compared to Bjork and she has also been referred to as ?the female version of Morrissey?. The band as a whole has been compared to The Smiths/Morrissey, Interpol and the Pixies. Girls in a Coma have opened for Frank Black and the Catholics, The Start, The Epoxies, The Eyeliners, Manda and the Marbles, The Groovie Ghoulies, The Cruxshadows, Lillix and Brassy. | |
