reception : venue : contact : 813-234-0222 venue url : more information : | In the small gallery: “Buffoonery, We Hardly Knew Ye”—Tim Warner “Buffoonery…” is collection of the artist’s recent work: screenprinted wooden cutout assemblages, wall sculptures, standalone objects, children’s toys, clothing and installations. Expect a cavalcade of disgraced political figures, monster-movie creatures, severed appendages and fun-loving terrorists, juxtaposed and assembled in slightly off kilter surrounding and situations. The tone is good-natured, yet a slightly nihilistic black humor runs rampant throughout the imagery.
