The West Tampa Center for the Arts presents REDUCED, an exhibition of black, white and gray artwork. Curated by Kurt Piazza, REDUCED presents artists with the challenge of creating work within the restricted color guidelines regardless of their medium and will feature painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video and installation by emerging, mid-career and established regional, national and international artists. REDUCED is a conceptual exhibition that aims to promote awareness of contemporary art within the local community and with all works priced under two -hundred dollars, focuses on nurturing the next generation of contemporary art collectors. Mr. Piazza is an artist and former curator of the Gulf Coast Museum of Art and has exhibited his work both regionally and nationally.
In conjunction with REDUCED, the WTCA is proud to announce the opening
of Tracy Midulla Reller: Connectivity & Austerity in Gallery 209 on
the second floor. This solo exhibition will feature new works by one of
Tampa's most fascinating visual artists. Reller has exhibited both nationally and internationally and is Professor of Visual Arts at Hillsborough Community College.
Additionally, the artwork and studios of the WTCA resident artists will be on display. VSA Arts of Florida will exhibit artwork by artists with disabilities in the Open Door Gallery.
Live music by DJFuego on the 2nd floor and Laszlo on the 3rd floor.
The Exhibit will run for three weeks.
