Anthony Record presents Diary A - a show of recent paintings and drawings at the Oliver Gallery. The show is less an expression of the normalcy of evil than it is about the terror of the commonplace - the perversions and horrors of hygiene, flowers, breathing, waking up in a world you are unable to meaningfully connect with. Both populist and anti-social, poetic and scatological, joyful and creepy, the paintings flirt with fear and alienation and cop a feel.
