(click for larger image) | about : My influences have been from the early Post-Modern masters (Jackson Pollock, Rothko, Franz Kline, William De Kooning, Joseph Albers, Aleksandr Rodchenko). The early movement that swept through America had an impact that is still influencing artists. Most of my paintings are on scrap wood pallets that I find in the trash. I prefer to use non-traditional items to paint with. In doing so I feel that I can create new textures and form that otherwise would not be available to me. My works are derived from the physical environment living in Florida and my personal experiences.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and Graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor in Fine Art from Indiana State University.
